Sunway Pyramid is a distinctive retail landmark located in the heart of Petaling Jaya. It was opened in July 1997 as Malaysia's first themed shopping and entertainment mall.

One of the mall's most easily recognised design is the Egyptian-inspired Pyramid with a lion "standing guard" at the entrance. The rest of the building is embellished in the monumental style, complete with hieroglyphics decorating facades, along with numerous Pharonic statuaries.

Sunway Pyramid is also one of the only shopping malls in Malaysia to have an indoor ice skating rink.

Malaysia's biggest petting zoo is here! Sunway Petting Zoo is now open at Bandar Sunway's Extreme Park, bringing you the most exotic, friendly & FUNtastic animals. So no matter what age you may be, there is endless enjoyable experiences to bring home to share with family an d friends.

Sunway University College (formerly Sunway College) was formed with the belief and understanding that higher education is vital to the progress of the Nation. The institution received an auspicious start in 1987 when it was officially opened by the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah Alhaj Sultan of Selangor Darul Ehsan. Within a short span of time, its student numbers outgrew the original premises, eventually leading to the opening of the new, purpose-built campus

Set amidst sprawling business edifices, Taylor's College Petaling Jaya is the centre for foundation, diploma and degree programmes in Architecture, Computer Science, Communication and Quantity Surveying. The Taylor's experience is inseparable from the surroundings of this campus, nestled in the relaxing ambience of a Balinese courtyard garden and enveloped by the relaxing sound of cascading waterfall, 10 state-of-the-art design studios with the latest tools and technology are available for students to work on their latest Architecture designs. In addition, there are multimedia labs with video and sound editing features for students to edit their communication projects and assignments.

The Monash University Malaysia (MUM) campus is often referred to as the Sunway campus, due to its location in the Bandar Sunway township in Malaysia, a development of the Sunway Group. Presently the campus shares a cluster of buildings with Sunway University College. The university will move in July 2007 into its own campus, also in the Bandar Sunway area. The university also operates a Clinical School in Johor Bahru, a city located in the south of Peninsular Malaysia. MUM is one of two Monash campuses outside the state of Victoria in Australia (This is exluding the two other overseas 'centres' in Prato, Italy and London).
